This blend is named in Honor of SSG. Paul G Smith. SSG. Paul G Smith joined the Army when he was 27 years old. He first started his career with Active Duty, where he would spend 13 years. In 2006 he joined the Illinois National Guard in a ARG Position. When SSG. Smith’s unit was called up, he didn’t have to go, he had been on 2 year stabilization orders but chose to go with his unit. He had already had multiple deployments complete to Kuwait, Bosnia, Iraq prior to his deployment to Afghanistan. At the time of Paul enlisting, he had been married to his wife Kim for 4 years. Paul had a love for rare fish and building his own fish tanks. The same day of his death, his favorite fish pass away. At the time of his death Paul and his wife Kim, had been married for 21 years. Paul is survived by his wife Kim, his two kids Sarah and Benjamin, and 5 grandchildren.
